Bertha Lake Hike

Bertha Lake:
Is a pristine glacier fed lake in the Southern Canadian Rockies on the border of Canada and United States. It is a moderately tough hike from the campgrounds on Waterton Lake.

Facts:
a. Difficulty: moderately difficult
b. Elevation Gain: 500 m
c. Trail Distance: 6 KM
d. Breakup: first 3.2 KM, elevation gain 180 m (moderate); second 2.8 KM, elevation gain 320 m (steep)
e. Attractions: Bertha Falls at 2.8 KM, Falls from the Lake at 5.0 KM, Bertha Lake at 6.0 KM
f. Facilities: back country camping

a. About 270 KM from Calgary on HWY 2
b. Hotels and motels available in Waterton,  Pincher Creek and nearby sites
